ANTIQUE CHINESE SOAPSTONE VASE or INKWELL BRUSH POT . Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Beautiful color and detail. This listing is for a used Chinese soapstone sculpture. This is beautiful sculptured example of early 20th century Chinese craftsmanship. This beige and red soapstone sculpture has no identification markings, yet research of similar pieces dates this piece in the range of 1910’s – 1940’s. This piece is hand crafted from a single piece of soapstone. The piece has a beautiful floral sculpted pattern with a vase, a pot/bowl, and three brush/pen holders, two shaped like flowers. Stands 4" tall and is 8 1/4" long and 2 1/2" deep. These sculptures were commonly used as an inkwell brush pot with brush holder. This sculpture would make for a great early 20th century Chinese accent décor gift or re-purposed as an incense burner. This is a used item and is being sold as is. This piece was owned by my Great Aunt who purchased it in China during one of her many trips aboard in the 1920's. NOTE: These is damage to stone on the lower left-hand side (see photo closeup). This damage does not interfere with the piece to sit level. I accept Paypal for payment. Please contact for additional photos and with questions.
