Just want to start by saying that I am by no mean's an expert but do recognize the Meissen mark Both are damaged or in need of repair and are being sold as is with no returns He is in better condition than she is please see photos for all damage in case I missed something but the obvious damage that I saw is that his right hand appears to have been repaired or replace of poor quality and his hat is chipped. She appears to have held something in both hands? Her skirt is cracking have no idea what is going on there and not sure but she may have had lace on color hat skirt ect. His mark is shown in last photo and is very hard to see there are other marks on her in crayon? Please feel free to ask questions look at photos closely thank youSold as isOn Sep-08-21 at 16:09:53 PDT, seller added the following information:I was recently contacted by another buyer who said this is most likely Choisy le Roi a French manufacture who was sued by Meissen for using the cross sword mark. There are two Choisy Le Roi company's one only made pottery mostly Italian Majolica the other company made French porcelain and is the one that was sued by Meissen for using their mark. As stated above I am not an expert but wanted to add this new information. The commenters on this blog seem equally confused as to the origin of the mark. If anyone else knows I would read more
