Antique Civil War fife, good condition with little wear and only a few very small scratches/scuffs on the wood, end metal pieces show some surface wear and marks, and I think they are nickel plated, no markings of a manufacturer on piece, measures about 15 5/8" long, dark wood, very nice grain to the wood, typically these were made of rosewood, but this wood is a little darker and may not be rosewood, bought from an 84 year old woman who told me that it was her great uncle's fife, and due to a medical condition, he could not fight in the war and instead played the fife with the troops.
