An antique coal mining disaster memorial glass commemorating the explosion at Wingate Grange Colliery, County Durham, on the 14th October 1906, when 25 men died. The glasses were made in the North East and probably sold to raise funds for the miners' families. This drinking glass is a small tumbler measuring 4.25 inches (11 cm.) high and 2.5 inches (6.5 cm.) across the top. It is in good, undamaged condition.
