The beautiful blackened metal creates a nice wrought iron look.These high carbon steel nails were originally made for the Southern Pacific Railroad in the late 1800s (circa 1880s) for the steam train tracks. A very unusual usage that makes the perfect gift for a Railroadiana collector or old train enthusiast, these are rustic and primitive antiques that look great in an industrial loft, vintage apartment , hunting lodge, farm cabin, man cave, or garage shop.
