Up for auction is a NICE EARLY COLEMAN BLUE PORCELAIN AND SILVER AND BRASS FUEL POWERED SAD IRON. It is from the early 1900's. The iron was made by the Coleman Lamp and Stove Company from Witchita, Kansas. It is Model 4A. The iron has been cleaned and polished so that it looks as good as it can. As the pictures will show the blue porcelain on the base Is in decent shape and still has a decent shine to it. Just to point out please examine the tank area you will find some minor dings in the brass, but the brass tank still looks good. Notice the top plate of the iron because you will notice it still is in decent shape. The script is worn on the metal handle holder but still can be made out. The wood handle is in decent condition with minor defects and t The handle was probably reblued but looks good as you can see. The plating on the bottom of the iron has some wear to it and minor rust and t but still looks decent.. The base of the iron measures out at 8 from front to rear and with the tank it is 10 q/w inches from front to read. It is 6 inches high and is 4 inches wide. It weighs 5 lbs. A very nice display piece for that collection. T's not to much more to say about this piece so if you like what you saw and read have fun bidding and good luck.
