TRULY A TREASURE FROM YESTERYEAR! Pioneering the idea ofinterchangeable sockets and wrench handles, Joseph Johnson togetherwith William Seidemann, formed the Snap-on Wrench Company in 1920 . The company manufactured and marketed ten sockets that would "snap on" to five interchangeable handles, a concept that revolutionized the tool industry. This all metal cabinet with it's beautiful rust patina is sure to be a wonderful conversation piece. I am unsure of the exact dating of this item. But as you can see from the pics it has the original company name on the front doors. The wording on the doors reads: SNAP-ON Interchangeable Socket Wrenches A special assortment for every make of car, truck, or tractor and farm implements. Snap-On Interchangeable Socket Wrenches All types of Handles All sizes of squares and Hexagon socketsT are pictures on the doors also, please see picture for details. Measures approximately 23" wide. 32" tall, and 9.5" deep. Features of the cabinet are two doors on the top section opening in the middle with knobs (intact). The lower part has three drawers which slide out. Each drawer has a different type or size of dividers. The top drawer has no dividers, the second drawer has narrow long dividers and the bottom drawer has various dividers. T is a wood piece on the interior.
