This group of antique microscope attachments came from the accessory draw of a superb 1880's Charles Collins slide cabinet. ( which will be listed in due course). The compressorium is not a design I have seen. It consists of a rectangular brass plate with circular glass bottom, a locating pin onto which the circular top piece fits over and screws down. The top bit is in two pieces with the screw thread rotating whilst the flanged bottom remains still on the locating pin. The upper glass plate appears to be a replaceable circular slip cover. The prism attachment can be fitted over the eyepiece and secured by the 3 screws. A type of polarising analyser ? Live box is a lacquered brass push over type. A small metal tin of slip covers. Final small object is small brass tube with hole in bottom into which pushes a crude lens.
