Antique Continental(Swedish) 18ct Gold Hinged Bangle with Rubies and Pearls and Taille d’Epergne The stunning solid bracelet/cuff has a tied silk cord effect in front with black enamel tracery (taille d’epergne) decoration and set split pearls and rubies in fitted blue silk velvet covered case from L.Larson & Cie., Juvelerare, Goteborg. The tracery effect to the right of the rubies and seed pearls has a pink, instead of black, cast: superbly subtle but rich! The catch glides smoothly and holds firmly. Inscribed inside: 8 Januari 186 7^ with Swedish Gold Hallmark of the three crowns on the catch. I have not cleaned the bangle in order to retain the original aged patina. The silk velvet custom box is very worn but quite serviceable. Weight 53 g. (1.9 0z.) Inside diameter 2 ¼” Inside circumference 6 7/8” Fits wrist size 6 ¼” to 6 7/8” Shipping is USPS Priority Express signed for with insurance.
