Up for bid is an antique copper coffee pot. The bottom of this is stamped Rochester Stamping Works and we can date this by that stamp. Rochester Stamping Works was in operation from approx. 1888-1899. In 1900 it became Rochester Stamping Co. The stamping works were primarily noted for their teapots, however this is definitely a coffee pot. It has seen a lot of use. The handle is made of wood and copper and one of the copper pieces at the top of the handle is loose. The spout has obviously been repaired and presently needs to be soldered as it is pulling away from the pot on one side. The lid is secure and sits tightly on the top but that too is a little loose. This is a very interesting pot to add to a copper collection, but again, this is antique and has seen some wear, so if interested please ask questions prior to bidding because it is sold AS IS.
