ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY GLASS CREAM JUG WITH RUFFLE TOP & APPLIED CLEAR RIGAREE NOTE: 5 DAY AUCTION. Up for auction and offered without reserve is a stunning Antique Victorian cranberry glass cream jug or pitcher, circa 1890. This lovely little jug is a beautiful color of cranberry glass and has a ruffle top edge, applied clear rigaree, applied handle and 7 applied clear glass feet. Hand blown cranberry glass has many tiny air bubbles as well as one larger air bubble which is near the base (see detailed photos). This beautiful jug or pitcher measures 4 ½” high, 3 ½” from spout to outside edge of the handle and 2” across the base. The base has a rough pontil. There is a rough edge on the handle where it is applied to the cranberry body which I assume was part of the manufacturing process . Pitcher is in excellent overall condition and is an outstanding example of Victorian elegance.
