Antique "DAVENPORT" 19th Century, Gilded Bone China / Porcelain Hand-Painted Landscape 'SIGNED' DESCRIPTION: First of all i would like to be clear in that i am not 100% positive that this plate is a Davenport. I have taken many descriptive photographs that will help you to identify the plate, and here are the facts to go with them... 1. The painted scene is titled "Sapphire". 2. The scene is signed beside the lady on the rights foot. (I have tried "Googling" every possible name i thought it could be). 3. There is a "Blue" underglaze porcelain mark to the back. 4. There is what looks like a very small, smudged partial fingerprint in green paint. 5. There is an impressed number "23". Beautiful hand-painted bone china cabinet plate. The colours are "Stunning", with vibrant green and pink bands and beautifully decorated with fine gold detail.
