Beautiful Antique Victorian/Edwardian Shell Cameo Large 9K Rose Gold Brooch/Pendant Deco Era c. 1900-10 Genuine shell cameo of an absolutely breathtaking maiden, dating to just around the turn of the century; about 1900-1910. Set in a tested 9K Rose Gold understated mount. This romantic cameo is sensitively and masterfully carved. The details are very fine. She wears a lovely pearl necklace and long earrings. Her face is tilted downward in a very demure angle. Most exquisite is her upswept hair which has strands of pearls intersperced throughout her gorgeous ringlets and waves. Original hinge, c-clasp and extended pin stem all in good working order. Also has a safety pin and chain attached to the top which could be used to wear the brooch as a pendant, if desired. Cameo has no cracks or hairlines. Measures 1.75" long x just over 1.25" wide
