made in two parts meant to be assembled together with a stick inserted in bottom and stuck in sand. patent 1847 widely used on the Atlantic coast this may be a dowitcher. it is 10 1/2 inch long and 7 inch high. t is some light rust along the outermost edges as you can see in photo and one side of the beak is a bit misshapen and has some rust but it is still in taqct and paint remains original to bird. the stick in photo is just as example of how to use. they were designed so that many could be opened and stacked flat for easy to carry bundle. postage fee of 6.00 for USA
