ANTIQUE DOULTON BURSLEM LOVING CUP WING CHERUB WIND GOD Fresh From a Fabulous South Florida Estate! No Reserve, Ever! Antique 19th C Doulton Burslem England Hand Painted Large Porcelain Loving Cup. Majestically modeled. Generously large specimen. 3 winged mythological heavenly spirits strategically placed around the cup. Bases form an efigy of The Wind God, on each. Finely hand painted blue bells and daffodils decorate the centers, against a soft white ground. Above and to the sides are intricate floral and lattice patterns with yellow and baby blue enamel accents. Molded relief around the base wonderfully embellished with gold accents. Interior with a soft peach blush fading masterfully into the white ground. A captivating piece of art, sure to generate questions and compliments from all your guests of honor and tof. We date this piece from around the 1890's respectively. Signed: Crown back stamp. Burslem Doulton England. Green hand painted numbers and letters. Measures: 6 7/8 " in height, about 7 1/8 " across in length. Condition: Very Good to Excellent. No visible chips, cracks or repairs. Light evidence of crazing seen in a few places.
