Email me for a shipping quote. For your consideration I have a very nice 19th century Blanket Chest done in Poplar Wood & the base is Yellow Pine. The construction of this Blanket Chest is all dovetailed and the hand wrought square nails were used on the bottom of the chest. The bottom board is 19 1/2" wide. You will not find that size board used on furniture today. The feet are hand turned on a lathe and are pegged into the bottom of the Blanket Chest. The hinges are the big barrel cast iron type. The till or glove box is on the left side of the Blanket Chest and t is a lock box under the till with the locking mechanism intact and Key. It does work. This nice old Blanket Chest comes from an estate sale in Berks County, Pa. Direct from Grandmas attict. It measures 42" long, 20" deep, and 25" high. Please check my other auctions this week.
