Up for auction is a great find , a antique , 134 years old, " W. & L. E. GURLEY " wood & brass surveying transit tripod. This is a fairly rare Tripod to find. All the fittings , and metal are made of brass. The wood is in great condition also. I have see some people make great floor lamps out of these tripods, of coarse not these expensive Gurley tripods made of brass & wood. One of the Brass wing nuts is stuck , I guess an easy fix. This is dated 1878. I have to sell this in AS IS CONDITION. Questions welcome. Thanks for looking and good luck.
