Wonderful antique sampler from early to mid 1800's(date based from online research) signed SARAH. There are 2 pieces of paper that are pinned to the sampler reading: 1959 your great grandmas. This sampler is one your grandma worked in school when she was a girl. Sampler came from a large estate in Seattle, WA. but do not know where the sampler originated. Colors are vivid and cross stitch design very well done with nice detailing throughout. The lettering is A thru L and I'm not sure what is on the next line down but may be a person. Notice the 2 different colors used in her name. The SA is done in a light blue and the RAH in green. There is some typical foxing and browning, also3 holes around border near edge and 1 halfway between edge of sampler and the letter E (pictures show)but overall good condition. A frame will most likely hide holes near edge of sampler. Measures 9" by 17.5". Sampler looks better than my pictures show. This would be a nice addition to a collection. Please don't hesitate to ask questions before bidding/buying. Thanks for your interest.
