Presented for auction is this 28" Simon & halbig mold 939 one of the early and very desirable dolls. Her eyebrows are of the heavy French type with many individual strokes. Her eye sockets are almond shaped her dark blue eyes are the bulgy paper weight type, ear lobs are pierced and her closed mounth has slightly parted lips painted with a white space between. She's on a heavy wood and composition jointed body with its original finish. I bought this doll at a auction many years ago knowing she had a started neck repair. This was one of a doll collection that belonged to a person who passed and her children didn't want any of her dolls. It appears as this doll was in the process of having her neck repaired, the bisque has been filled in sanded but not painted, also the 4th finger on her left hand has the begining of being repaired. I bought her with out any clothes. She is being sold with her long human hair wig, but the dress I placed on her is two sizes to small. I bought this doll for my own collection as the repair did not bother me as her charismatic expression warms my spirt when ever I graze at her. She's an exotic mesmerizing doll that warms my heart.
