This is a very rare antique brass air pump that has the marking "PAT. APL'D FOR" at the bass of the pump near the needle. They probably only made a very small amount of these early models.It has its original dark wood handle and the needle tip which is often missing. Very difficult to find one in this great of condition with all original pieces. It's an excellent display piece to be admired and an antique collector item - a SUPERB one at that!It does show some normal wear for its age and use back in the day. I was told this pump dates around the early 1900s. I am no expert but I've compared it to similar ones but could not find this exact one anywhere. Excellent patina and no losses to the surfaces. It measures 12.5" inches (31.5 cm) fully extended and 8" inches (20.5 cm) fully contracted. It is 1.25" wide / in diameter (3.2 cm).Please enjoy all the photos provided.
