Penn Antique Restoration Antique Eastlake Cast Bronze Door Set w/Knobs, Plates, Lock, & KeysStunning, original, entry door lockset salvaged from Southwestern New Jersey. The set includes 2 bronze knobs, 1 bronze escutcheon w/swinging keyhole cover, 1 bronze rosette, 1 bronze keyhole cover, 1 iron mortise lock with bronze faceplate and 2 working keys, 1 brass strike plate, and a spindle with 2 set screws. All bronze/brass parts are made of solid, heavy, cast bronze/brass, not stamped/pressed/wrought or plated iron.We removed the set from a beautiful pair of carved, Aesthetic (Eastlake) style doors (see last photo). All parts were painted, dirty, and unevenly tarnished. Since then, we've removed the paint, and cleaned and polished all parts to the best of our ability. The tarnish on these parts was extremely stubborn, and although we removed most of it, there are spots here and there (mostly on the keyhole cover, lock faceplate, and strike plate).All parts have the nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on 100+ year old hardware, but there are no breaks, cracks, chips, gouges, or dents. The set is strong and ready for another lifetime of service.The lock was opened, inspected, and we sprayed grease on and around all parts to facilitate their movement.
