Out of the same house as the Casey, Clark plane I'm selling in another auction, 's a rare and beautiful antique Ebony Plow Plane with rosewood screw arms and nuts and IVORY TIPS. I have been unable to find any marks with the exception of what appears to be a Roman numeral on the fence (see last picture). I would guess the age to be mid to late 19th century, and due to the precision and exotic woods with which it was crafted, it was certainly made by one of the major plane makers of the time. Both the original ivory tips and original ebony and rosewood finish have a gorgeous, warm patina. T is some age checking and a few random cracks which I have pictured, and one of the smaller nuts looks to be an older replacement, but none of this does anything to detract from the beauty of this plane. The screw arms measure 11 inches tip to tip, the body is 8 inches long and the fence is 9 inches long. This is another unusual one to add to any tool collection. Again, listed with no reserve whatsoever - have at it and congratulations to the last one standing. Shipping to the US only will be $15.00. I'm happy to combine shipping wver possible. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!
