Double your traffic. DESCRIPTION : I am pleased to offer for your consideration this fine antique estate ring. The ring is from the early 1900s and is 10k yellow gold set with a Emerald Cut Ruby Red stone. This ring was made by Ostby Barton, which is know for their exquisite jewelry craftsmanship and is highly sought after by collector s. The face of the ring is 12mm by 12mm. This ring is a size 4 and is ideal for a pinky ring or could easily be size by your jeweler. The inside of the band is clearly marked OB 10 K and is guaranteed to be as described. The stone has not been tested and I believe is a synthetic ruby as there are some light surface scratches visible with a loupe on the face of the stone . There is no other damage to the gold mounting and this ring is in very good estate condition and has never been abused. The weight is 1.6 grams The Ostby Barton jewelry company has a rich history and was well know for their superior jewelry craftsmanship. In 1879 Engelhart Ostby formed a partnership with Nathan Barton. The firm became the world's largest producer of gold rings. In 1912 he decided to return from one of his many European trips on the Titanic, carrying with him his old doctor's bag he always used when travelling, filled with gems, precious stones, and other valuables that he had bought in Paris.
