This is a smaller fragment and is enough to use for a small project such as embellishment for a doll's jacket, hat, purse (it is rectangular in shape).This auction is for a lovely antique buttery soft fine silk velvet textile fragment from the Edwardian era. It consists of a dark brown silk velvet ground (pile is close to the surface with a cotton base). It is edged with hand-beaded, faceted metal copper beading. It is in wonderful condition with no flaws that I detect. This measures approximately 8.5" x 4" - 4.5".
