This is a large old Effanbee doll found at an Estate sale several years ago. I wanted to have her repaired but have not gotten around to it. She is a big baby doll looking similar to the "sugar baby" Effanbee dolls. Approximate measurements are; 27" long, waist is 21", head circumference approx 19 1/2", feet approx 3 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide. She weighs about 5 lbs. I do not know much about old dolls so I will describe her the best I can. Please remember she needs some work! Her cloth body seems to be in pretty good condition. She has some pin holes where her clothing may have been sewn onto her? She is marked in raised letters Effanbee. I think she is supposed to say "mama" when tipped down and back as she has a round shaped insert in her mid back. Her face seems to be in fair condition with "shedding" or crazing?. I'm not sure what they call this... but she is actually shedding all over the head, arms, legs. Please note...if you purchase her, this is how she will come to you with bits of "paint" coming off of her. She has cracks in one leg and on feet. She has all fingers. Nails look to have been painted with nail polish? There are no teeth...I don't know if she had them originally. It looks like her eyelashes have been drawn in with a pencil.
