INTERNATIONAL SALES MUST SHIP BY EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING.ANTIQUE ELECTRO-SHOCK THERAPY MEDICAL DEVICE, MACHINE QUACK APPARATUS 1900-1930DESCRIPTION: This is an antique electro-shock therapy medical device used by "doctors" to what effect... is unknown whether they were useful or not, often referred to as "quack devices". The device consists of a wooden form wound coil with a chrome adjustable slug in the center of the coil. A graduated scale is on the coil to adjust the position of the slug for shock level. There is a push button on the left side of the coil for administering the shock. There is a two-position selector switch on the left and three receptacle jacks on the right for inserting electrode wire leads. There are no electrodes with this item. The enclosure is a nicely dovetailed wooden box with hinged nicely dovetailed lid. Inside the box is empty space intended for battery or batteries. The battery connection wires are on the underside of the deck (see photos). VERY GOOD BASIC UNIT. MISSING LEATHER STRAP AND ELECTRODE ACCESSORIES. MISSING BATTERY.
