They are both in wonderful condition and come in their original Birdseye maple frames. These silhouettes have always been together and they may depict a father and daughter. The hand painted silhouette in this auctions depicts a young girl with pantaloons and a hoop toy. It comes under early thin glass and measures 7 ½” by 10”. It is difficult to see but there are a couple of light crinkles. The rest of this circa 1820s silhouette is perfect and clean. The original 11” by 13 ½” Birdseye maple frame is also perfect with its original gold gilt fillet. ...
