Antique English Oak Jacobean Church Pew Bench This listing is for an outstanding antique English oak pew or bench that I selected for its stunning silhouette and Jacobean design. Other features: Rich, dark finish and elegant patina; Paneled lower front with storage inside bench; Curved sides and high back. The bench is 51 ¼"H x 15 ¾"W x 36"L; The seat surface is 34" x 14 ½"; Floor to seat is 17"; Inside storage compartment appx. 34"L x 11 ½"H x 14"W; Back height is appx 34 ½" from compartment lid to top of back. This is a great focus piece for anyw in the home or office; it is a very versatile and functional piece, yet has distinctive styling that could easily blend with any décor, from Gothic to traditional to Victorian. The bench is in good condition for its age, structurally sound, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections in the wood panels. It is a very old piece, and its signs of age provide character that is the basis for its appeal. The inside back of the storage compartment has been replaced over the years with what looks like a paneled cupboard door, but it is on the backside, and doesn't impair the beauty of the bench.
