This amazing English engraving ‘The Rent Day’ comes in its original handmade gilt frame, with the title of the work at the top. I have been told it is an original but I am selling it as unknown as I cannot confirm this and I do not know how I can tell. I have taken a close up photo through a magnifier so you can make judgment for yourself, either way it is a beautiful picture in a magnificent ornate frame. This is one of a pair I currently have for sale so please look at my other matching piece entitled ‘Penny Wedding’. This very large engraving and frame measures approx 100cm x 80cm x 6cm. This antique picture and frame has some wear and tear commiserate with its age. The gold gilt frame is handmade and has general wear and tear including scuffs, it has no damage apart from a very small chip on one corner, and a small piece of trim on the inside edge of the frame (please see last photograph). The engraving print itself is intact and not damaged but it has slight toning and stains. The board it is mounted on has slight foxing and toning/staining. If you have any questions please ask
