is one of the BEST early American inlaid boxes or caskets you will find. The marquetry is superb and it is in cleaned original condition. T is nothing missing or repaired. The insert could have been added at a later time. The felts are like new, in and out. I believe it could be from the turn of the century, if not before. This casket is great for jewelry, documents, valuables, etc. This was purchased in Newport RI in the early seventies for $375. I have seen others on ebay go for a lot more and not as nice as this. It is VERY large 12"x8"x8". Guaranteed ANTIQUE or your money back. As a matter of fact I will return shipping as well. SUPERB condition with NO surprises.
