Wonderful and Unusual Elephant Ivory European Letter Opener, depicting a Knight in Armor and a Dragon, possibly Saint George fighting the Dragon, possibly English dating from the Victorian era, perhaps about 1880 or tabouts. Wonderful carving with a blank cartouche suitable for engraving. An elegant object, a real heirloom. I think this would look fantastic on a stand or even framed. No chips or cracks. See photos for condition. 14 grams and 5 inches long. Guaranteed genuine elephant ivory. This is legal ivory carved prior to the ban. Because of restrictions, this can only be sold within the USA.
