You are bidding on a really nice antique postal scale which is hallmarked "Royal Post." I believe this is a European postal scale, though it could also be Canadian. This brass scale stands approximately 14 1/2" tall and is mounted to a wooden base along with an ink pot and a wooden handled stamp/seal which features some sort of crest. The wooden base is approximately 11 3/4" across, and is supported by 3 brass ball feet. While I can see that this is a vintage item that has clearly been used (there is still ink residue in the pot), I am not sure exactly how old this item is. What I do know, is that this is a very handsome scale that would look great as a decorative piece. Thanks for looking!
