Auction is for an ANTIQUE WALNUT EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE DESK. This desk was manufactured by the HOOSIER DESK COMPANY in JASPER, INDIANA. The company, started in 1915 as the Jasper Manufacturing Company, was renowned for WOODWORKING CRAFTSMANSHIP. The WALNUT DESK comes complete with a LOCKING KEY for PRIVACY. It is a double pedestal design with a front overhang allowing for 2 chairs to sit comfortably underneath to enhance CONFERENCING CAPABILITIES. The Left Pedestal has 3 drawers, each with dimensions of 23.5" long x 12" wide x 4" deep. Above the first drawer is a SLIDE OUT WRITING TABLET measuring 22" x 13" wide x 1/2" thick. The Center Drawer is 23.5" long x 24" wide x 2" deep; it comes complete with office supply dividers built into the drawer. The Right Pedestal has a writing pull-out tablet measuring 22" x 13" wide x 1/2" thick at the top, as well as two Storage Drawers measuring 23.5" x 12" wide and 9" deep and 23.5" x 12" x 4" deep, respectively. The back-side of the Center Drawer has the words WAL 1558 printed on the back. T are some cosmetic dings on this piece particularly indents as pictured (2" and 3" on the top of the desk) and a long gouge mark (appears to have been filled with wood crayon) about 9" along the bottom right pedestal. These are COSMETIC in nature; most of these should be remedied quite well with some Old English polish. Local Pick-Up Only items are located at Naperville, IL 60563 Collection Center.
