This auction is for an older “Moose” or “ Texas Jack” pattern pocket knife made by Carl SchlieperCompany in Solingen Germany with the famous “German Eye” trademark. Tang stamping is the “EYEBALL” logo on the main blade only. This is the rare and desirable extra large pattern with a whopping 5 3/8” closed length. These larger knives are seldom seen for sale. I estimate that the knife was made in the 1960’s to early 70’s. This knife appears to have never been sharpened or carried; it is in original mint condition with the main blade etched (see pictures). T are a few tiny pinpoint specks of oxidation, normal for older knives like this one with fine hammer forged carbon steel blades. Both blades have extra strong springs with thunderous snap due to the large size of the knife. This is one impressive knife!!! Handles are smooth yellow composition, no cracks or chips. Solid nickel silver bolsters with brass liners, brass handle pins and steel blade pins. Nickel silver crest shield which is pinned on to the handle.
