This is a charming, old traditional antique style Santa that was made in Occupied Japan. He has a fur-lined felt coat and hat with a sack over his back and he is holding a little bottle brush Christmas tree. The fur is very nice made of some kind of furry strips but not pipe cleaners. He has blue material pants and black composition boots. He has detail of wrinkles in his boots as wells as hints of snow (white paint) sticking to the sides all the way up as wells as snow on the bottom part. His face is made of some kind of plaster looking material and is hand painted. He is standing on a glittery mica round base. He is about 6 1/2" tall and in very good condition. A very nicely done Santa, very much like a antique German santa. This is a nice one to add to your collection!
