ANTIQUE FIGURAL INKWELL Character Clown Hat Opens BISQUE FIGURINE INK PEN STANDA very unusual, antique, bisque figural inkwell with a character face clown sitting in a chair. The arms of the chair are formed as a rest for the pen. The clown has a hinged, metal, hat that opens to reveal the inkwell. The well (inside his head) measures a little over 1" deep. The entire figure measures approximately 5 1/4" high (to the top of his hat) x 2 3/4" from front to back x 1 7/8" across the front and is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks to the bisque and only very minimal loss to the paint. This inkwell was a deaccession from the Strong Museum in Rochester, NY. The museum wrote numbers on the bottom and there are other numbers, inside, that are written on some old paper (I'm sure it will come off, see photo). This is quite a rare example of a character Victorian Inkwell and will certainly compliment any collection. Being offered at a low starting bid and with no reserve.High bidder to pay all shipping costs. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional cost will be prior to bidding/buying.
