age: this trunk was made in the late 1800s. size: 36 + 3/4 inches long by 24 1/4 inches tall, 24 + 1/4 inches deep. lock: solid brasss, reads THE H&A LOCK CO. NEW YORK. PATENTS PENDING 42 .interior label reads: TRUNKS THAT WEAR EVERYW REGISTERED P&S TRADEMARK .details: ORIGINAL leather handles, great original sectioned tray, awesome tin edging with tons of little tacks , and fabulous cast iron corner caps that read: PAT APR 5 98 . Built of solid pine with oak slats, this trunk also has all of its original & super unique hardware, this trunk also has its original sectioned tray, which is a great bonus! The trunk is strong and sturdy! This trunk has been refinished- after painstakingly stripping the interior and exterior of the trunk, it was sanded smooth and varnished with Minwax gloss.
