Late 19th early 20th Century quilt.200 - 232 cms.Very pleasing colours.In cream/whitish background.Featuring a stylised floral decoration,rose-hips,flowers,finely drawn leaves and branches in various shades of pink and a little red on the main side.Reversable.Strips of pink,then floral{Clematis?}in shades of blue and pink.Touch of burgundy on the flower stamens.Blue wavey effect on alternate strips.The quilt is hand made.Stitched neatly with running stitch.The edge is machined with early very small stitching,typical of early machine stitching.The overall condition is very good,with no tares or stains.The photos accurately depict the decoration,but in no way convey the beauty of this fine English cotton quilt.Please email for overseas postage costs.
