This gorgeous Flow Blue gold leaf bowl was made by Wheeling Pottery Company in West Virginia. The pattern is LaBelle, and the green mark on the bottom is estimated c. 1893. This serving bowl has a colbalt blue scalloped edge with gold highlights. The underside shows the same leaf design. The piece measures 10 1/4" x 9", and is 2 1/2" high. Because of the age of this bowl, it shows some slight crazing, a 1/2" chip on the rim, and two hairline cracks on one side. I also see a tiny chip located on one of the cracks. The flaws do not detract from the beauty of the bowl, however, I would recommend that use of the bowl be for display only. In researching the value of the bowl, I find the same bowl in excellent condition to be listed around $500. The bowl will be carefully packed for shipping; however, I am recommending insurance.
