Antique hand-painted porcelain condiment jar made by Delinieres & Co. (D & C) Limoges, France.This item was purchased directly from the owner. It had belonged to her great uncle and his wife and is from around 1900, if not before. The jar would have been used to contain jars of homemade jam or jelly or cans of condensed milk . The hole in the bottom enables the container's user to safely insert and easily remove the jar or can after use. The decorations depict lovely rose-colored currants on both sides of the jar as well as on the lid. The bamboo-themed handles are embellished in bookmarked Roman Coin gold. Condition is excellent for its age: No chips, cracks, crazing, rubs or restoration . Payment is due within 3 days after auction end. Item will be shipped within 2 business days of cleared payment. Condiment jar will be double-boxed for extra safety. Shipping charge is for postage calculated for weight of package only - no extra charges are added for labor or packaging.
