Up for auction is a FABULOUS pair of Silk Drapery Panels. Each panel measures a large approx. 118 inches square. The panels are a chateau rouge color with gilt foliate designs and trim. The panels are the type that you would expect in a European estate or castle and are very beautiful. They are shown here in the wealthy downtown loft where they were acquired. The panels are likely early to mid 20th century and would cost thousands of dollars to have made today. They would be a stunning statement to set-off a window in a library or den. Both panels can be used together on either side of a single window, or used individually on opposing sides of two windows. They could also be used to cover 18th-19th century period furniture - fabric like this is very hard to come by. The tassels are modern additions and will be included for free in the auction.
