Antique French Faience Plate - Rouen Decor 19th Century - 1863-1899 Presented for your consideration we are offering this stunning antique, 19th century French faience earthenware plate in Rouen decoration, made in France by fine artisans and craftsmen. Platter is beautifully decorated in Rouen style, with floral center. Measures 8.8" in Diameter. In very good antique condition, and it has an old repair. There are 2 holes for a hanging wire/string in the back. This plate has had gentle use and fine care and is over 100 years old. As with all antique earthenware, there are the usual indications of a unique, hand-made, one at a time style of production, characteristic of the old techniques. Mark is blue "V&F" under the glaze, circa 1863-1899 This is a stunning antique Desvres French Faience display plate.
