These are antique French Lemaire, Paris opera glasses. Made of a beautiful brass and covered with real mother of pearl. Made by the French luxury accessories house of Lemaire, Paris in the late 1800's. They are also stamped "Jumelle Duchesse". These opera glasses became an essential fashion accessory to Victorian society women who frequented the Opera. These are fully operational, signed Lemaire Paris. Measuring 4" w. x 2 3/4" h. Some of the pieces of mother of pearl are missing and will require expert repair (please see the last picture). The carrying case is black velvet. For the opera lover.
