Antique French Limoges Charles Field Haviland Oyster Plate, Seaweed DecorationDescription Antique French Limoges Charles Field Haviland Oyster Plate, Seaweed Decoration This antique Limoges five well oyster plate was made by the respected French firm of Charles Field Haviland in partnership with Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. On the back of the oyster plate is "CHF" over "GDM". This partnership took place in the late 19th century. There are wispy pieces of seaweed in subtle colors. overlapping the wells. The three different pieces of seaweed are each hand painted with an airy touch.The gilt border adds a nice accent.
