This is a stunning French Napoleon III Ormolu & Jewel Bridal Tiara circa 185 0 A unique piece, the p hotos tell it's story, please study them well. The stones are faceted rhinestones with clear backs , dating them before the invention of painted back stones. There is one tiny break in the base that could easily be soldered. The decorative frontal piece measures 2 & 3/4 inches high at the highest pointand the largest oval stone is 3/4 of an inch across. The tiara measures 5 inches in diameter , is ajustible and opens. An interesting alternative is to turn it upside down and wear it as a necklace as was done in the Victorian era.
