This is a very beautiful Deville et Cie, "Le Non Pareil", Model Number 360B , probably manufactured during the late 1920's.The stove is much sort after because of its wonderfully ornate early Deco design, bright enamel, and efficient wood burning chamber. The stove was manufactured by Deville in Charleville in the Ardennes; they became famous across France, for their quality and styling. The original foundry was set up in 1848 by the Corneau brothers whom then joined up with Albert Deville and Paillette. In 1886 the company became known as Deville-Charleville and were producing a range of cookers and heaters. By the 1920's the company was probably the best known stove manufacturer in France. They still exist today making a range of heating /cooking appliances, although I have to add that the new stoves have none of the charm of their predecessor's!The stove has the following dimensions:Width: 550mm ( 700mm with side door open )Depth: 350mmHeight: 550mm ( 810mm with top open )Flue external diameter: 82mm non tapered.Weight aprox. 50KgThe enamel on the stove is in good condition with just a few small chips and age related wear.. What is most remarkable is the brightness and colour which are well represented in the photos. All in all, a good example of this unique stove. The stove benefits from having an entirely new steel firebox, heat read more
