Presented here is an outstanding antique and rare French violin maker’s plane signed by the maker, Depose. As you can see in the pictures this plane is in excellent working condition with all of its original parts. The blade could use a good honing. It even has a small lateral adjustment, or cam lever which adjusts the blade at incredibly small increments for a precise cut. The blade is about ¾” wide while the body of the plane measures approximately 2” long x 1” wide. The name DEPOSE is stamped into the toe of this incredible plane.
