Rare Antique Bisque Doll - "Gebruder Kuhnlenz" - 15.5 Inches - Bonus Teddy Bear! -- Purchased at doll collector 's estate sale. Good home; odor free. -- Marked on back of head --- "G K" with a "165" between letters; "24" at top of head: a "1" and "Germany" toward bottom of head. What appears to be perhaps a very small "bi" to left of "165"....hard for us to make out. -- Nice size -- about 15.5 inches tall. Without wig or hat. -- Open mouth, with four teeth. Sleep eyes work. Painted lashes, eyebrows, lips. -- Beautiful bisque head. A bit of paint missing from eye lids (visible when eyes are closed); crack from top center back of head extending above left ear and to top of head (left side) (see picture); faint seam like lines on left and right sides of head appears to be part of manufacturing process; small smudges, marks, etc. Head rotates. -- Composition torso is very good condition. A few odd marks and smudges, etc. Jointed at shoulders, elbows. knees and hips. Wooden upper arms, wooden elbow joints, composition lower arms; some paint missing, little smudges, etc. -- Nice composition hands! -- Wooden upper legs and knee joints -- smudges, some paint missing, etc. Composition lower legs and feet.
