Up for bid this beautiful Genuine Union Case. Ca. 1800's Unused? Genuine Union Case has no dag. photo in it and it looks as though it never did. This is a beautiful case. Reads inside on right side of case.... Genuine Union Case - Improved - Fine Gilt And Burnished Hinge - S. Peck & Co., Manufacturers. Red color material on left in excellent condition. Copper type frame in good condition. It is difficult to see in photo but t is some discoloration bottom left on copper approx 1/2" X 1/2", somewhat darker than the pictures show. Possibly could be buffed out or cleaned off by winning bidder. Outside case in excellent condition, great color. No breaks, chips, or scratches. Case snaps shut and hinges look perfect. Case still has the original inside label from the manufacturer. Union case is approx. 1 13/16" X 2 1/16". Union case is in VG./Ex. condition. The only real issue is the discoloration on bottom left of copper type frame. This case has been well preserved and well taken care of. It looks as though it may have never had any type of picture in it. This Union Case is very collectible and would make a excellent addition to any Union Case collection. I have provided 6 super-sized pics to help you determine condition. I think you will agree after you see these pics this Union Case is sharp!!! T will be no reserve for this case!!!
