This wonderful old canning jar has a unique metal ring for sealing the lid. It is 7" tall and 3 1/4" in diameter. It is also in excellent condition - Clean, Empty, and only has one small chip on the edge of the lid where the metal clamp contacts it. Please see the pictures for better details. The lid says "Geo W. Helme Co of New Jersey - Patented July 16, 1872. On the bottem are the words "P. Lorillard Co". The metal clamp that holds the lid on is in good condition for it's age but does have rust on it.
